About Purcell Heli Skiing

Skiing/boarding takes place on alpine glaciers and open slopes, as well as in the trees and gladed areas of the subalpine forest. We strive to meet our guests' needs and to provide the most exclusive, safest heli-skiing/boarding experience possible.
Our heli-ski area lies a few minutes flight away and covers over 2,000 square kms (772 square miles - west of Golden and North of the Bugaboos - in the Purcell Mountains. These mountains of Interior British Columbis are famouns for their reliable amounts of fresh snow and exceptional powder.
Wehave over 250 runs offering every conceivable type of terrain and exposure. Over the years, Purcell Heli-Skiing has explored and skied the mountain ranges of the Dogtooth, Mc Murdo, Spillimacheen, Bobbie Burns and Battle Range areas CELEBRATING 35 YEARS!
As a small company offering over 35 years of experience, we are dedicated to providing our guests with the highest quality of service. Rather than envouraging vertical records, our aim is to offer a thrilling but comfortable skiing/boarding adventure at a relaxed pace.
Throughout the operation, you will find a friendly atmosphere and helpful staff to look after you. Our entire team has a passion for the mountains and we enjoy what we are doing! We would be delighted to share our experience with you, as our guest in the Purcell Mountains.

Guide Certifications & Experience
| All our guides are members of the association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG) and/or the International Mountain Guides Association (IFMGA/UIAGM)
Training and professional certification obtained from these organizations guarantee a high degree of competence in mountain and ski guiding, avalanche forecasting, weather interpretation, as well as ski instruction. |
Equipment Used
| We use high performance helicopters specially outfitted for heli-skiing operation. The Bell 205 helicopter seats groups of up to 11 guests and 1 guide and serves up to 4 groups a day. The pilots have extensive mountain flying experience and are very familiar with heli-skiing. The helicopters are inspected and maintained on a daily basis by specialized engineers. Transceivers with basic training provided to all guests. A-star helicopter that seats 4 guests available for private packages. |

Booking Policy
| A non-refundable deposit of C$400.00 per person per day is required at time of booking. Final payment for daily packages is due on the ski date & for mulltiday trips is 6 weeks prior to ski date. Contact our office by phone or email for more details. |
Training & Instruction
| All guests must go through basic back safety training on their first day of heli-skiing each year, this is part of the packages and happens in the morning before skiing. |
Packages & Pricing
| We offer daily 3 or 5 run packages, multi-day packages, private and custom packages.
3 RUN PACKAGE: The 3 run package costs C$698.00 plus 5% GST for a total of C$723.45 per person per day. This includes 3 runs of heli-skiing, professional ski guidng and powder instruction, safety equipment, packed lunch, apres ski platter and heli-ski/board pin.
5 RUN PACKAGE: The 5 run package costs C$825.00 plus 5% GST for a total of C$866.25 per person per day. This includes 3 runs of heli-skiing, professional ski guidng and powder instruction, safety equipment, packed lunch, apres ski platter and heli-ski/board pin.
MULTIDAY PACKAGES: You can choose any combination of 3 run or 5 run packages for as many days as you like and for which ever days you like during your holiday. Days do not have to be consecutive.
For pre-booked 5 run multi-day packages we are offering a bonus, please contact us for more details.
EXTRA RUNS: C$80.00 plus 5% GST for a total of C$84.00 per person per run.
POWDER SKI RENTALS: C$40.00 plus 5% GST for a total of C$42.00 per person per day.
Note: We do not rent boots, so you will need to bring those with you. No snowboard rental available.
PRIVATE PACKAGES: Enjoy a heli-adventure at your own pace, with your own group. This is unparalleled heli-skiing/boarding with an exclusive helicopter service and a private guide. Whether its for 1 day or for a week we can design a custom tour to suit your groups needs. |
