About Peak Adventures
|
There are open bowls, hidden glades, enticing trees and untouched powder fields on a variety of aspects. The steepness ranges from 25-40 degrees. Each run is unique and can accommodate those who want to let it rip on wide open terrain like Full Throttle, go steep on the North Face or get air on Bumps, Jumps –n- Stumps! Run choices are based on the ability of the group and the best snow conditions.
You will generally get 8-15 runs. The number will depend on the weather conditions and the length of the run, since getting more vertical increases the overall lift time. The number of runs also increases as spring approaches, because there are more hours of daylight to utilize. As opposed to many heli skiing companies, we do not have a policy that states you will pay more if you get over x amount of vertical feet. Snowcat Skiing in the back country of North Idaho with Peak Adventures friendly, professional guides will make your dreams a reality! We will lead you to incredible open bowls, hidden glades, enticing trees and untouched powder fields. When safe conditions prevail there are even cornices and windlips for Big airs and Soft landings. Runs like Full Throttle, Stoker Basin, and Bumps Jumps –n- Stumps, will provide you with effortless turns and endless memories!
Our operation is different because we don't make people ski right beside one another. We believe that freedom in the backcountry is a large part of enjoyment, so we give you guidelines and provide a safety net while you explore the mountains with your style!

Secondly, they must have advanced first aid, Wilderness first aid, Outdoor Emergency Care or an Emergency Care Technician certification. Then they must have completed a level 1 avalanche course, and a level II avalanche course that meets specific requirements. These are listed by the American Avalanche Association.
