Dream Catcher Heliskiing
About Dream Catcher Heliskiing
|
Our skiing terrain is 80% open and 60% of that is glaciated. We have poor weather and tree skiing minutes from the front door of the hotel / lodge or boat. 20% of our terrain is treed or below the tree line. Dream Catcher Heliskiing has three separate operations that run simultaneously. One is based out of a hotel in Bella Coola, one is based out of a lodge across from Bella Coola and our third is based off a ship, the MV Ocean Explorer II. Packages run from 3 - 8 days and each day is a potential ski day. Arrival in Bella Coola form Vancouver is at noon and the first run for guests can be as early as 2 pm the same day. The last day of each package is a ski day and the return flight to Vancouver leaves at 12:30. The average ski day is 25,000 verical fett, and it is not uncommon to achieve well over 30,000 vertical feet. Because we operate woith only 2 groups / helicopter we can minimize waiting and m,maximize skiing. Even after 7 years we are still skiing new runs and going on terrain that no one has ever been on.
