In the winter months, the winter sports area is a great place for family gatherings. It offers 9 runs over 45 acres for skiing and snowboarding enjoyment, complete snowmaking capabilities, Rossignol Experience Center, a fireside lodge with a deck with a stone fireplace and a staff of professional instructors for individual and group clinics.

Open since 1766, The Omni Homestead Resort is one of America's most storied resorts, offering unparalleled hospitality and southern charm in a 2,000-acre setting within the Allegheny Mountains of southwestern Virginia. Renowned for its natural healing springs, the resort is distinguished by 483 luxurious guest rooms and suites, a wide array of fine and casual dining choices, and more than 30 recreational amenities.

The resort offers an expansive, luxurious spa with exclusive, adults-only spa garden and two championship golf courses. Allegheny Springs is a two-acre family-friendly water attraction complete with lazy river, water slides, family pool and water play zone. The resort also offers the South's first downhill ski area; a beautiful Equestrian Center; top-rated Shooting Club with trap, skeet, sporting clays; fly-fishing; archery; falconry; off-road Segway tours; Mini Cascades, a new 18-hole miniature golf course and a wealth of other recreational attractions.

About the Riding
We carry Rossignol Snowboards and the rental fee is $35. Known for its wide slopes and great family learning area, the resort features 45 acres for skiing and snowboarding. Rental equipment is available through the Rossignol Experience Center, while the Sepp Kober Ski School & Bunny School offers skiing and snowboarding lessons for groups and individuals. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels will find challenges and excitement at our Terrain Park.

The Omni Homestead is located on 2300 acres in the Allegheny Mountains and offers a myriad of activities such as 2 championship golf courses, horseback/carriage rides, shooting club, mountain biking, fly-fishing, guided hikes, falconry, Segway tours, archery, kayaking, canoeing and a Spa with Aqua Thermal Suite and Spa Garden. The family pool at Allegheny Springs is open year-round while the lazy river and water slides are open May - October and the ice skating rink is open November - March.
